The Fashion Revolution Nepal event for this year ended with a lot of happy faces as the organizers, stakeholders and participants were happy with the outcome of the two events that were held on the 29th at Evoke Restro and Bar (Fashion Fair) and 30th at Moksh (Catwalk Show) of April (Jhamsikhel).
29th-There were a total of 12 brands who showcased their designs in stalls amidst the presence of foreigners and locals alike. The even was hosted in a familiar environment with people of all walks of life coming in with their families and friends. The brands who had their stalls were as follows: Sabah Nepal, Eka Deshma, Kallisto Designs, Purnaa, Hatti Hatti, Logo Fashions, Muskan, Kaligarh, Shibori, Local Womens Handicrafts Nepal, NMEFEN and Neyo. The event ran through the whole day.
30th-Fashion Show on this day was filled with fashion enthusiasts, local celebrities and VIP guests. The models who participated for this evening show shocased designs by international celebrity designer Lars Anderson and famous Nepali designers who represented some of the above mentioned brands. After showcasing a total of six sequence of walks, the 17 models (previously auditioned at RK Studio Nepal) were called a day off by the organizers. Then they along with the organizers/participants were handed our the certificates signed by international designer Mr. Lars Anderson and local fashion coach/choreographer celebrity and guest of honour of the event Mr. Prashant Tamrakar.
Active team members for the fashion show were Tascha Karma (show host, fashion show/media co-ordinator), Hanna Badminton (fashion fair co-ordinator, main comittee member), RK Studio Nepal -Bibhushan Dahal, Roshan Kunwar, Girish Subedi. All of the members were thankful to all the stakeholders, partcipants, onlookers and media personnel.

Fashion Revolution is a global campaign that occurs every year with the ideal of uniting the fashion industries of the world, focusing on raising environmental awareness amongst all their stakeholders and consumers. This UK based organization has been hosting such programs since the days of its inception in 2013. So far, the organization’s annual event is being hosted in 90 countries via local and foreign representatives like us. The events feature exclusive fashion shows and environmental awareness campaigns against the abuse of the environment while manufacturing clothing. Such is our motivation too at this event, which is obviously one of the first of its kind in Nepal.
