This contest was a significant platform for aspiring models and Aarohi’s presentation of the costume highlighted her grace and the cultural richness of Nepal. Ravi Shrestha played a pivotal role in bringing this project to fruition by reaching out to the talented designers of Namuna College of Fashion Technology.

The designer student of Namuna College of Fashion Technology (NCFT) have brought this costume to life with their innovative designs and attention to detail. Their work not only showcases their skill but also their deep appreciation for Nepal’s cultural and natural heritage through their efforts. They have created a germent that tells a powerful story and pays homage to the beauty and significance of Ama Yangri Peak. The attire symbolizes winter attire, reflecting the extreme cold weather of the region. Aama Yangri is revered as a Dakini, embodying a protective goddess for the area through her compassion. Locals born under her influence seek her blessings for their well-being, believing that observing her mountain form brings blessings for longevity and safety. The headgear is influenced by Nepal's living goddess, Kumari. The silhouette's embroidery is inspired by Ankhi Jhyal, traditional windows with peacock motifs. These windows have been integral to Nepalese architecture since the 15th century, adorning homes, temples, and palaces across Nepal.
