Do anyone have right to use any designer's dress without permission of Designer?
Recently in 2017 Asia Model Festival, Traditional Costume of Nepal was displayed which totally does not resembles the Traditional Costume of Nepal because of which many Nepalese get furious and comment different things as they saw the video clip in Facebook.

But the Designer Manish Rai have no idea how his dress was used in the show without his permission and the design was not event design for the traditional wear rather design for Red Carpet.

What he posted in the face book after he saw the video and comment on it is as follows
“This morning when I woke up I saw this post on my timeline where people are raising questions about the design and the designer. Let me tell you all those designs are mine .
After the finale of Face of Nepal models and their managers approached me to let them use my designs for the red carpet and runway event so, as they will be representing Nepal in international arena I had given them my best collection for red carpet and runway but not for cultural dress . I was completely unaware of my outfits being used for cultural event . Even I was shocked when I saw this video. So instead of raising questions on the designer it would be better to ask the people related to that event who represented Nepal in Asia Model Festival as I have never given them any outfits for cultural event .!Those outfits were for red carpet not for cultural event so please don't involve me in that. Me as a Nepali designer I have always tried to promote Nepali cultural and traditional costumes , recently I have showcased "behuli" collection in Nepal fashion week which was totally inspired from Nepal itself and in that collection I have tried to revive the beauty of "chaubanicholi" so, I have done lots of research on Nepali traditional costumes not only from hills and mountains but also from the Terai. So why would I give those outfits for cultural event. I'm writing all this just to clarify that m not involved in this mistake ...”
