Ambika Joshi Rana - winner of Artist Support Program
17 January 2018 - After a month long competition held amongst upcoming and aspiring fashion artists, Ambika Joshi Rana became the winner of the first Artist Support Program (ASP) - Fashion Artist Edition (FAE) organized by R.K. Studio Nepal - an audiovisual production company. Following her were Shamira Basnet and Nisha Neupane who were the first and second runner ups respectively. This was announced on the first week of January.

This was a month long web-series program that hosted auditions for over 30 interested candidates who had inquired and filled up the forms with a hope to win a portfolio photo - shoot session worth NRs. 50,000. With an objective to help upcoming artists to emerge as talented individuals in the long run, the program comprised a total of three episodes. The awaited portfolio session will take place at the end of this month.
The first hosted senior psychologist and doctor - Mrs. Karuna Kunwar Bista - who gave a workshop to the selected five participants (out of ten) on a topic that focused on their mindset regarding career goals. On the second, theatre actor and guest judge for the day - Mr. Saroj Aryal - had an interaction on human body expressions and facial expressions with the remaining four. Then on the final day, actor Mr. Saugat Malla shared his career life struggles with the three finalists. Photo - shoot themes for the episodes included traditional, expressive and archaic respectively.
This is an ongoing project at this music and visual production studio which will also be hosting its musician support edition shortly.
The program was directed by Mr. Michael Ghimire, who is also an executive member of the company.
